Sarah Green is a Loughborough based artist. She designed the character of Super Crochet Girl as part of her research into crafts effectiveness as a tool for political activism; essentially the alter ego is her physical interpretation of yarn bombing, a popular mode of socio/political expression.
A graduate of Loughborough University with a BA Hons in Fine Art, and an MA in Art in the Public Sphere. She currently works as a freelance artist and workshop leader teaching crochet and knitting. At the same time she works closely with Charnwood Arts, Loughborough’s local arts organisation www.charnwoodarts.com.
